1. robust a. 健壯的
She was almost 90, but still very robust.

2. rot v. 腐爛=decay
So much rain will make the fruit rot.

3. safeguard v. 保護(hù)
We must safeguard our national interests.

4. savage a. 野蠻的=not civilized
Most of the time elephants are tame but they can be very savage.

5. scent n. 香味

8. shatter v. 使粉碎
It shattered my dream.
