1. pertinent a. 有關(guān)的=relevant
He raised several pertinent questions.
他提了幾個有關(guān)的問題。

2. plead v. 懇求;申訴
With that kind of man you will plead in vain.
你懇求那種人將是白費力氣。

3. ponder v. 思考
She pondered his marriage proposal for a week.
她考慮了一周他向她的求婚。
