　　托福聽力中遇到不熟悉的英語口音怎么辦?

　　在近兩年的托福考試中，ETS推出了新的政策，在聽力和口語的部分中加入了英國、澳大利亞以及新西蘭的口音。必須承認(rèn)，在剛開始知道這個(gè)變動(dòng)后，小編也是覺得比較吃驚的。ETS這兩年對(duì)于托�？荚嚨母淖儾⒉欢�，大部分都是一些微調(diào)，同時(shí)也會(huì)給考生留下充分的適應(yīng)時(shí)間。但聽力口音的政策改變卻沒有任何先兆，直接就開始推行，似乎是有些草率。但是后來小編仔細(xì)分析了一下，ETS在推行新政的時(shí)候一直是比較嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)�，�?duì)于新題的命題也是這樣。既然如此的話，小編認(rèn)為為了給予考生適應(yīng)時(shí)間，托福聽力中即使有其它口音的錄音內(nèi)容，其出現(xiàn)比例應(yīng)該也不會(huì)太高，不會(huì)對(duì)大家的成績(jī)有太大影響。

　　ETS為何要加入口音調(diào)整?

　　對(duì)于ETS這次做出的改變，筆者覺得可以充分理解。這還是從實(shí)用性著手，托�？荚囘@么多年，經(jīng)歷了好幾次大的變革，究其原因，主要還是希望考生能夠通過托�？荚嚵私獗泵佬�園的學(xué)術(shù)和人文環(huán)境。而美國又是一個(gè)包容性非常強(qiáng)的國家，在美國的大學(xué)里，不僅僅有美國的教授，還有英國的，澳洲的，以及其他各個(gè)國家的教授以及講師。為了更好的讓學(xué)生提前適應(yīng)校園環(huán)境，去到美國能夠快速的開展學(xué)習(xí)工作，做出這樣的改變也就不足為奇了。

　　考生如何應(yīng)對(duì)托福聽力中的陌生口音?

　　而對(duì)于如何應(yīng)對(duì)這一改變，其實(shí)這個(gè)問題很簡(jiǎn)單，因?yàn)楸举|(zhì)上來說還是都是英語，所以差別也不會(huì)特別大。對(duì)于考試距離現(xiàn)在還較遠(yuǎn)的同學(xué)，其實(shí)可以先培養(yǎng)對(duì)于英式口音的興趣，可以先看一些英劇或是找一些含有英式口音的美劇，比如Lie to me之類的，先感受一下英式口音的美妙之處，再通過聽一些紀(jì)錄片或是別的材料，真正提高自己的英式口音聽力水平;如果考試迫在眉睫，建議就不要花太多時(shí)間在這上面了，把ETS提供的sample聽透聽懂就行。需要注意的是，英式英語在一些用詞上跟美式有一定的區(qū)別，大家不僅要注意口音，也要注意詞匯上的細(xì)微差別。

　　至于澳大利亞口音和新西蘭口音，鑒于這兩個(gè)國家跟英國都有千絲萬縷的聯(lián)系，這兩種口音也跟英式比較接近，有一些發(fā)音上的區(qū)別，大家只要在網(wǎng)上找一找規(guī)律，然后稍作注意就可以了，不必太過于擔(dān)心。

　　The defining features are level terrain, dry climate, and an absence of trees.

　　In the eastern zone, there's more rain and grass grows as high as 360 centimeters.

　　Scientists are always on the lookout for alternative sources of energy.

　　Today we're going to discuss one that's so plentiful they say it could supply more energy than all the coal and oil in the world.

　　It's found in something called gas hydrate and, believe it or not, that's a kind of ice.

　　That's right. But the water in this ice was way down below the Earth's surface when it was frozen, so it was under a lot of pressure.

　　And trapped inside the crystals of ice are individual molecules of methane --- that's what's in natural gas.

　　All this makes gas hydrate pretty strange stuff.

　　Now, as you might guess, this can make gas hydrate kind of hard for miners to handle.

　　And then there's the problem of where it's located in frozen arctic regions or in ocean waters off the Atlantic coast, and up to a mile down.

　　Environmentalists warn that mining it could even be disastrous.
