中考英語(yǔ)容易混詞語(yǔ)用法講解
suggest和insist
A. suggest, suggestion做 建議解，insist, insistence做堅(jiān)決主張、堅(jiān)決要求解時(shí)，that引起的賓語(yǔ)從句、主語(yǔ)從句和同位詞從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞皆用虛擬語(yǔ)氣，即：謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用should+動(dòng)詞原形，should也可以省略。如：
�。�1）The manager suggested that we (should) make an immediate decision.=The manager suggested our (us) making an immediate decision.=The managers suggestion is that we (should) make an immediate decision. = That we (should) make an immediate decision is the managers suggestion. =That we (should) make an immediate decision is suggested by the manager.經(jīng)理建議我們馬上做出決定。
�。�2）The doctor insisted that he (should) stay in bed for another five days.=The doctor insisted on his staying in bed for five more days.= The doctors insistence is that he (should) stay in bed for five more days.=That he (should) stay in bed for another five days is the doctors insistence.= That he (should) stay in bed for five more days is insisted by the doctor .大夫堅(jiān)決主張他在床上再待5天。
B. suggest，suggestion做表明、說(shuō)明解，insist，insistance做堅(jiān)持說(shuō)、堅(jiān)決認(rèn)為解時(shí)，that所引起的賓語(yǔ)從句、主語(yǔ)從句、表語(yǔ)從句的謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用陳述語(yǔ)氣。如：
(1)The officers silence at the meeting suggested that he didnt agree to the plan.＝That he didnt agree to the plan was suggested by the officers silence at the meeting.會(huì)上那位當(dāng)官的沉默不語(yǔ)表明他不同意這個(gè)計(jì)劃。
